Proverbs 23: 31-32

Lies are like wine. They get better with age.

When one is young, the fermenting will pass

Just short of the desired taste; to gauge

Such things takes time: overfilling the glass

Can overdo the sweetness of your tone,

Too bright a blush will mar a saintly face,

Poor inflection can kill bouquets alone,

And of deceit the eyes must bear no trace.

We know how best to serve our morbid meals:

For heinous crimes the choice is clearly red,

While white may work for all less ghastly deals

Since, with the other, something ends up dead.

It’s fitting the most blessed wine today

Is the one that we receive each Sunday.

ummm.......okay. so i haven't posted in forever and it's making some people very, very mad. oops! let's see... what has happened since April?

I worked at Abercrombie for most of the summer and loved retail so much i moved over to Express on the other end of the mall. i work both places...sssssh, don't tell them that!...but now mostly Express cuz they pay more. hee hee!

I was in a relationship, and enjoyed some fun trips to St. Louis, but that's mostly over now, i guess. we're still friends and everything, but the distance and the high level of entropy in our futures made it to difficult to be anything more than that right now.

I went to St. Louis with Sarah King to see a Counting Crows(her)/Goo Goo Dolls(me) concert and it was AMAZING!!! the wonderful Elwoods were there too, and it was great fun. there are pictures on my facebook.

In mid-June i went to wisconsin with my family to visit some more family and that was good times, as always. then we toured Lambeau Field where the Green Bay Packers play because my brother and father had never been. after that, the four of us traveled to Minnesota (and into enemy Viking territory) to visit the Mall of America. this part of the trip was meant for me and my mom, since we both love to shop. i bought a shit-ton of clothes, as expected.

Recently, I've started rehearsals for GEEKS, which is so much fun. it will be a great show. Speaking of shows, I'm also excited for the ones Drury is performing this year. I think our theatre girls are going to make Steel Magnolias a show to remember, and A Few Good Men will be...interesting, to say the least. TIOBE, however, excites me most. It is a great play, and i think i would be really good as Algernon. He's a bit more vain than I am, but the character wouldn't be that much of a stretch for me, hehe. I know that will be a great show.

Other than than those trips and work, i haven't done much but enjoy the summer. I've read a lot, and written a few things too. maybe i will share them here sometime soon. I can't wait for school to start to i can see everyone again. i miss everyone who left very badly. i need more mischief back in my life!!! ^_^ tee hee!

Bolero

People seem to keep their sense of fashion

When they learn to savor just not the nice,

But all the cruder aspects of passion,

In a world with a never ending spice:

Such a thing as the love call of a crow,

The quaint aroma of a garbage can,

When you hit the wall with your big toe,

Or get a burn instead of golden tan;

Life has plenty of stuff to fill the well

If only one can give into the chore,

And eat, each year, from where the stocking fell,

That ever-present, stupid—Christmas—orange.

Laughter is found in very many things,

So just decide yourself what sooths, or stings.

You Should Be a Film Writer
You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!
